Breathe in that feeling of freedom at an altitude of over 1,151 meters above sea level. Whether you visit in summer in hiking boots or in winter on the slopes, we’ll always give you a warm welcome and spoil you in keeping with Tyrolean culinary tradition. Amidst the unique mountain world of the Kitzbühel Alps, friendly hospitality means: chatting, eating and spending time together.
Our food is freshly cooked – and with Bauernjause, Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarren we have something for every taste. The traditional Tyrolean cuisine makes browsing the menu a pleasure for meat lovers, vegetarians, sweet tooths and our younger guests. It’s not always an easy choice though... Perhaps a refreshing drink is the first thing to order?

Summer – Hikes and celebrations on the mountain
When the sun shines over the blooming alpine meadows, the pure joy of life drifts from peak to peak. Hiking lets us escape from the daily grind and have a happy time in the mountains. The same can be said about family and friends celebrating occasions in a relaxed atmosphere in our mountain restaurant above Ellmau.
“In the morning dew towards the mountain” – and then the table is set with fresh pastries, fresh fruit, eggs and muesli. What better way to start a day away from the hustle and bustle? With a steaming cup of coffee in your hand, the view of the mountain panorama in the morning sun is even more stunning! We prepare breakfast on the mountain for you by pre-order only – with local produce only of course!

Treichlhof in winter
Winter – ski during the day and toboggan at night
When the winter has arrived at the Wilder Kaiser, total cosiness is the order of the day at the Treichlhof. Take a relaxing break during a long day of skiing or get in the mood for a fun-filled toboggan run. After a warm meal or a cup of hot chocolate, the clear winter air feels all the better.
Our mountain restaurant is located directly in the “Wilder Kaiser” ski area, which is arguably the best ski region in the world. More than 90 lifts and 279 kilometres of slopes undoubtedly make the resort one of the largest ski areas in Austria. To take a break on the sun terrace of the Treichlhof, depart from the mountain station of the Sonnenalmbahn and find us right by ski slope no. 90. Then it’s just a matter of getting out of your bindings and into the warmth inside or finding your spot in the sun.
A fast-paced toboggan run is fun for all the family. Before the fun begins on the natural toboggan run, which is lit up until midnight and runs in the direction of Ellmau, Going or the Astbergbahn, the Treichlhof invites you to a cosy get-together with your nearest and dearest. Soak in the atmospheric ambience in the two warm lounges – then it’s time for young and old to get stuck in and have fun on the perfectly groomed toboggan run back downhill. We have a special of ribs available to pre-order as a winter warmer before the adventure in the cold.
